Bus fares are charged on how far you have to travel. Use Metlink’s journey planner to find out how much your journey will cost.

Q. Where can I buy a ticket?

Buying a ticket is easy. Just buy a cash ticket from the driver when you get on board. You can also purchase Snappers  from a range of Snapper merchants throughout the Hutt Valley and in central Wellington which display the Snapper sign. Visit www.snapper.co.nz for the latest list of Snapper merchants. Hutt Valley Monthly passes and Platinum Passes can be purchased from Valley Flyer Office, Waterloo Interchange, Pohutukawa Street, Lower Hutt. Platinum passes are also available from ticket agents in Wellington.

Q. Which ticket is right for me?

If you make regular journeys on Airport Flyer, you might like to consider using Snapper.

Concession fares are available.

Q. Can I use the same ticket on the bus, train and ferry?

At present you cannot use the same ticket on the bus, train and ferry. However, from 14 June 2009 you can now pay by Snapper on any Valley Flyer, Airport Flyer or GO Wellington bus.
